SCI Peer Support Chances are, the life you are now leading is not one you know how to deal with. Countless questions are running through your mind, and you may feel like there's no one you can talk to that could possibly understand where you're coming from. Although I'm aware that I do not have all the answers someone with SCI might be seeking, I have lived with a spinal cord injury since I was 12-years-old. That's 26 years of trial and error, embarrassing body rebellions, triumphant moments, exciting challenges and coming to grips with having a spinal cord injury. I have never come across a productive SCI support group in the Western New York area, and I know my life could have been much easier to deal with if I had someone to turn to who knows some of what I was going through. Although I am not a professional counselor, I would be happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability.
